Back in 2003, following the successful Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence album, Dream Theater decided to go a bit heavier with their seventh studio recording, Train of Thought. Combining their typical progressive mastery with elements of the heavy metal and hard rock scene of the time, this record reached new fans of the band but wasn’t well received by everyone. Requested by two of our Patreon members and good friends Nick Fevola and Charles Florio, Justin and Chris give this album a true deep dive for the first time in a good while and their thoughts may surprise you!
