Released 25 years ago, Freedom Call’s second album Crystal Empire continued the majestic power metal sound the band cultivated on their debut release two years prior. Anchored by the songwriting of vocalist Chris Bay and drummer Dan Zimmerman with guitarist Sascha Gerstner and bassist Ilker Ersin rounding out the lineup, this sophomore effort showed the band was definitely not a one trick pony.
