This week we revisit Italian power metal virtuoso Luca Turilli’s second solo album, 2002’s Prophet of the Last Eclipse. While Luca’s first solo album took on a more Rhapsody-like medieval feel, this release embraced the guitarist’s love of sci-fi with a more futuristic/cosmic vibe. But underneath it all remains the usual top flight songwriting combined with out of this world guitar work and orchestrations.
